1800s Farmhouse

The owners of this 1800s farmhouse envisioned clean, rich, functional rooms featuring both indoor and outdoor living spaces. Throughout the project their motto remained, “It’s a farmhouse!” ensuring that the space remain, above all, comfortable.

Together, the homeowners and ILEX carefully selected finishes in keeping with the historical significance of the home. A rear addition was added, increasing kitchen and living space on the first floor as well as a master suite above.

Custom cabinetry was designed by Karen Turner and created by ILEX Woodworking. The cabinetry features an antique green painted finish which pairs perfectly with the honed black granite countertops. Other features include stainless steel Viking appliances and European tiles hand selected by the owners and installed as a unique backsplash over the Viking gas cook top.

New Heart Pine hardwood floors were installed in the kitchen as well as reclaimed Heart Pine beams to match the adjoining family room.
